The spray-on coating gives a pleasant feel to the skin while driving and creates the right amount of friction for a smooth shave. When adjusting the blade, I found that you should first open the lock about 1 1/2 turns before adjusting the aggressiveness of the blade, making the upper end of the handle much more sensitive, and then finally turn the lower end of the handle all the way back to close the lock again so that the upper end adjustment doesn't move while driving and the blade stays well in place. All in all, a very high quality product with a long life and a good looking safety razor.
