The goal of the Italian Abbate Y La Mantia shaving soaps has not only been to develop a soap base and combine it with different scents. Their goal is to develop a soap base and fragrance combination for every customer's needs. More than 20 years of research and product development have made Abbate Y La Mantia's shaving soaps one of the most interesting projects in the classic shaving world. Saffron is normally known as an expensive spice in cooking, but Abbate Y La Mantia presents the functionality of saffron's active ingredients in cosmetics and skin care as well. Saffron is cultivated in the beautiful Italian Maremma hills, in the province of Grosseto.

SCENT: Walking on a commercial ship as fresh coconuts and ripe bananas rest in the hold. The field from which they come is there; in Honduras.

Sensual:Soft and moisturized skin. Fresh and invigorated thanks to lovely menthol crystals.

ACTIVE: Two basic use:

– Refreshing and pain-relieving effect (when applied topically): thanks to the refreshing and pain-relieving properties of menthol (when applied to the skin, it reduces sensitivity to touch by imitating cooling), it relieves the sensation of itching; and

– Stimulating effect: strong cold has a vasoconstricting effect, it strengthens the blood vessel walls, which nourish the skin.

Abbate Y La Mantia shaving soaps were originally semi-soft soaps, but now they are in the form of hard soap. The soap goes through the Triple Milling process, where it is pressed three times. This removes excess water, air and impurities from the soap. The resulting bar soap has a smooth, even consistency, and the scent and color are evenly distributed. Because the water and air have been removed, the triple pressed soap is dense and dissolves slowly, so it lasts a really long time.
