Böker Pro Barberette
Started from a small iron factory of the Boker family in Germany in the 17th century, Boker became famous in 1869 when Heinrich Boker and the highly skilled cutlery specialist Hermann Heuser founded Heinr. Boker & Co company. Eventful times have affected Boker's history, but two things have remained: passion and enthusiasm for special knives.
The Böker Pro Barberette is equipped with a stainless steel blade locking mechanism. The Pro Barberette uses regular halved double-edge razor blades. The half of the razor blade locks securely between two stainless steel parts.
The geometry and size of the Böker Pro Barberette follow the high-quality forged straight razors produced by the Böker Manufactory Solingen. The handle of the Barberette has fine serrations that provide a secure grip even when your hands are wet. To facilitate the opening of the two blade halves, the tip has a small inwardly rounded Notch on both sides. The inside of the blade halves have round guides and their counter parts to hold the razor blade in place, and to guide the blade halves exactly flat. Precise riveting and professionally made Barberette guarantee reliable operation and a long service life even in heavy use.
Boker Pro Barberette combines professional functionality, familiar grip and balance, and the authentic aesthetics of a classic straight razor. If you're just starting out, the Barberette is an alternative to a forged straight razor at a more affordable price. Before inserting the blade, the double-edge razor should be carefully cut in half. Another option is to buy razor blades already cut in half.
Due to its high density and oil content, olive wood is perfect for contact with water. The beautiful handle is finished with a Boker wood pattern.
With Heinr. Boker & Co packaging and double-edge razor.
