Scottish pioneer Alexander Simpson started the production of Simpson razors and accessories in 1919 in east London, but later moved to Clapham, London. The factory was destroyed during the Second World War in 1941, after which production was moved to Nimmer Mill in Somerset. Today, Simpson razors and related products are manufactured by Progress Shaving Brush (Vulfix) Limited in the historic Isle of Man. They continue to manufacture in the traditional way by tying the razor knots by hand, by skilled craftsmen. Simpson's razors are widely known and respected. Often when comparing something to the best razor, Simpson is the benchmark. Their products are manufactured with precision and quality.
The Harvard 3 razor is designed for those who appreciate the densely hand-assembled Best Badger knot, as well as the classically sleek handle. The handle is made of resin and is ivory in colour. An excellent performing razor thanks to its dense knot.
