The inspiration for this exciting blend came from the original composition, which dates back to the late 1850s, and was specially blended for Viscount Palmerston, one of Queen Victoria's Prime Ministers. This blend inspired Truefitt's modern fragrance, '1805'. The recipe for "Palmerston Bouquet" lay unused for over a century, and it was not until 1998 that it was revisited and re-imagined. 1805 commemorates the year William Francis Truefitt first opened the doors of his salon.

Fresh and oceanic, the 1805 opens with a blend of refreshing citrus fruits in pleasant harmony with lily and jasmine. A blend of soft and refined amber and musky notes anchor and support this intriguingly original fragrance.
