The Grafton name is intertwined with and inspired by Britain's rich naval tradition. This classic, woody scent is named after the battleship HMS Grafton. The completion of the first ship, HMS Grafton, in 1679 marked the beginning of a long and noble history for the line of ships that have borne this name and have served all over the world from the 17th century to the present day.

The name "Grafton" was given to Truefitt's newly blended fragrance in 1983 at the suggestion of an officer on HMS Grafton. He particularly liked this unmistakably masculine fougère fragrance and suggested naming the new scent after HM's battleships.

The glycerin-based shaving cream is carefully designed to moisturize and balance the skin and achieve an extremely close shave without irritation. It produces a rich shaving foam that softens beard hairs and prepares the skin for a pleasant and smooth shaving experience.
