The Italian Abbate Y La Mantia shaving soaps have not just been about developing a soap base and combining it with different fragrances. Their goal is to develop a soap base and fragrance combination to suit each customer's needs. Over 20 years of research and product development has made Abbate Y La Mantias shaving soaps one of the most exciting projects in the classic shaving world. Saffron is normally known as an expensive spice in cooking, but Abbate Y La Mantia is introducing the active ingredients of saffron to cosmetics and skin care. Saffron is grown in the beautiful Italian Maremma hills, in the province of Grosseto.

SENSUAL: The most nourished, massaged and cleansed face that shaving soap can offer. A high level of saffron extract, found only in the most prestigious cosmetic products.

ACTIVE: Holds the absolute record:

• • as an anti-reddening agent (limits the effects of the blade on the face);
  • against free radicals (oxygenates the skin, bringing brightness and evenness to the skin tone);

Krokos is an art project taken to the extreme and a sample of what characterises Abbate Y La Mantia. The use of the world's oldest and most precious cosmetic extract: Crocus Sativus Extract. Since ancient times, this bulb has been a treasure trove of beauty treasures, used both to heal imperfections and lesions and as an aesthetic measure. Historically, it has only been used by rulers and powerful people: Cleopatra, Alexander the Great and Hippocrates are just a few.

AYLM has used saffron extract in crocus products in even excessive quantities to demonstrate without reservation the benefits of using this spice and its important active constituents: crocin, picrocrosin and safranal.

CROKIN (30%) C44H64024; 976.96 g/u. Corresponds to the colour.
PICROCROSINE (15 %) C16H2607; 330,37 g/mol. Responsible for flavour.
SAFRANAL (2,5 %) C10H14O; 150,21 g/mol. Responsible for the aroma.
Others: potassium, phosphorus and magnesium, vitamin C and folates.

This chemical structure makes this extract a very powerful anti-inflammatory agent that reduces spots, hyperpigmentation and scarring, increases clarity and smoothness, is highly soothing, and is an unrivalled moisturiser and skin elasticiser.

Main feature: prevention of ageing. Limits oxidation of the skin, whatever the cause (shaving, environmental factors, sun rays, cellular ageing, stress, bacteria and contact with pollutants).

The large 200 ml shaving soap is packaged in a thick glass bowl and the finished product is packaged in a handmade box. The Italian colours are reflected in the ribbon packaging, which is finished with a seal.
